A tool for spotting trend momentum and pullback zones in TradingView
what is the momentum indicator?
The A1 Momentum Indicator is a custom-built TradingView tool designed for momentum traders. It helps identify potential trend continuations and pullback zones using simple visual cues on your chart.
This indicator was designed with traders in mind who already use price action and want an extra layer of confirmation before entering or exiting trades.
How it works
The indicator creates color-coded “clouds” around price using moving averages:
Green clouds = potential bullish trend/support zone
Red clouds = potential bearish trend/resistance zone
As price interacts with these clouds, traders can spot:
Trend formation (red → green, or green → red flip)
Pullback opportunities (when price dips into the cloud)
default settings
By default, the indicator uses:
20-period Moving Average
50-period Moving Average
These values form the base of the cloud zones and reflect short- to mid-term momentum.
How to Use It in Your Strategy
1. Spot a Trend Flip
When the indicator switches from red to green, it may signal the beginning of a bullish trend. A green-to-red flip may suggest a bearish trend.
2. Watch the Cloud
When price pulls back into the cloud, this zone may act as support or resistance:
- In a bullish trend, the green cloud acts as support.
- In a bearish trend, the red cloud may act as resistance.
3. Use for Entry Confirmation
Combine the indicator with your existing trading strategy for entry confirmation, especially when price re-enters the cloud.
Important: This is not a standalone trading system. Always combine it with other tools and sound risk management.
Customization Options
Change Moving Averages Adjust the lengths to suit your trading style. For example: - Tighter: 7 & 14 (for scalping/lower timeframes) - Looser: 50 & 100 (for swing trading)
